The pastor’s conference is off to a wonderful start. Pastor Wayne and Bishop Daugherty have been such a blessing. On only the first day, we had over 200 in attendance… praise the Lord!
The rally teams have been hitting it hard, making 6 presentations a day in local schools and market places. Brad is doing a wonderful job presenting the Gospel and ministering alongside the rally team. His enthusiasm is contagious!
We’ve been showing The Passion of the Christ in 2 different locations every night and are seeing a huge response… the people of Kisoro are so hungry for hope, and so receptive to the Gospel.
Please continue to pray for our team as the days are long, the sun is draining, and the atmosphere can at times be heavy.

I mentioned in the previous post that Pastor Wayne and Brad were ministering in the local prison here in Kisoro. We just received a phone call telling us that almost the ENTIRE prison responded to the invitation to recieve Jesus. PRAISE THE LORD!! The local churches here will continue to minister to the prison in the days to come. We are overwhelmed once again by the greatness of our God!

Our time in Kabwohe was incredible… thank you for your prayers! We saw the Lord move in a great way during the pastor’s conference.
One of the topics God laid on Ken’s heart was that of forgiveness. A pastor stood up on the last day before the other 85 men in leadership and publicly confessed sin in his life. He had been harboring bitterness towards his daughter for marrying and unbeliever and was ashamed of her. On that day, he brought her before the entire assembly and publicly asked for her forgiveness. There wasn’t a dry eye as the two embraced and we watched God restore their relationship… Praise God!
The team spent several days in Kasese, Uganda resting and preparing for a week of ministry in Kisoro. We arrived last night and already can sense that the Lord has wonderful things ahead. We are priveleged to have Pastors Wayne and Brad Clayton with us from Florida. Already, God is using them in a big way! (They are ministering to the local prison as this is being written…)
The pastor’s conference begins tomorrow, along with the ministry of the rally teams. Also, the local business leaders and government officials have requested that we share our time with them every evening from 5-7. This is an incredible opportunity! Please continue to cover us, the Ugandan team, and the people of Kisoro in your prayers.

We’ve been in Jinja, Uganda for the last ten days doing ministry and preparing for a potential trip into Southern Sudan. We found out Wednesday that our permits would not be able to be obtained for another month. Our prayer over the last few days as a team has been that God will keep us sensitive and alert for other opportunities. Now that Sudan is out of the picture, here is where we feel God is leading us-
Tomorrow we will pack up our things, and make the trek out west to do ministry in Mbarara, Kasese, Kisoro, and Kibuye. The next few weeks we will eat, sleep, dream and breathe ministry! Pastor’s conferences, community outreach, prison ministry, school ministries, etc. We will be showing the Jesus Film in the local languages every night as well. We’ll be meeting with local village leadership to discuss the needs they’re facing and assess how these line up with CTA’s heart/ purpose. We’ll also be seeking the Lord as to what the best areas of ministry will be for our summer trips, and for the Sarah and Joseph Foundation.
Pastor Wayne and his son, Brad from Hopewell Baptist Church in Florida will be joining us later in the month, and we are excited to see what God has for them, as well as for the pastors and communities they will be ministering to.
Thank you for your continued prayer!

Renate Galyean the Director of The Sarah & Joseph Foundation of ‘Call to Africa’ , was invited to speak to the women of South Tampa Fellowship Church. After a weekend without her voice because of the prayers of many friends Renate’s voice came through load and clear on Monday night December 7 to share her life story and corelate it to the book of Hosea. Many of the women that attended were touched by God as He revealed through Renate’s life expereince how forgiveness and love from God changed her life and gave her hope and a future.
Special thanks to all the ladies at STF women’s ministry who facilitated this wonderful event. Karen, Elenor, Terry, Gail, Wibke, and so many others who helped, prayed, hosted, and encouraged us to share those deep hurts we bring into our lives because of sin and selfishness, but God still loving brings us back to Himself. Thank you Jesus!

When it comes to ‘Pure and Undefiled Religion’ Renate Galyean is the director of the Sarah and Joseph Foundation of Call to Africa, which focuses primarily on caring for widows and orphans.
Since coming to Uganda in 2004 Renate noticed a need that was being overlooked by their ministry. Widows and orphans, all the effort and resources were dominated by training Pastors and evangelistic campaigns. So Renate took it upon herself to begin to train the women within the church leadership in Uganda how to care for the widows and orphans. Now Renate spends her time in USA traveling to conferences with CTA and speaks to womens groups about the great needs that can be met when you focus the women in this area of great need.
In December Renate has three opportunities to raise awareness and resources for The S&J Foundation; Al, FL, and TX. Please pray for Renate as she seeks the Lord to give grace among those she will be speaking, to get involved. Giving, going, and praying will be Renate’s invitation for other women to get involved to make a difference in the lives of the poor of the world.
Renate has discovered what the Bible says to be true; ‘pure and undefiled religion is this; to care for the widows and orphans in their distress…’

CTA just finished a month of travel to Missions Conferences and Mission trips to Africa. God continuies to show favor as we involve ourselves in His Kingdom’s work.
We were priviledged to work with OBC Botswana on a church plant in Mosojane, where we participated in evangelistic campaign and leadership training in this remote village. Special thanks go to our partners from Open Batist Church Pastor Norman and Gabi Scaeffer.
Then off to Uganda to review and refocus our attention to orphanage/boarding school on the Nile River with our partners from The Met in Houston, Texas.
Special thanks and prayers go out to our partners in the gospel in Uganda; Pastor Henry and Mary Ssevviiri, Pastor Zachariah Sserwadda who both have full time ministries and still find time to help us on kingdom projects in their areas of ministry.
Blesings! Rev. Ken Galyean

The team is doing great in Botswana. They’ve been busy with ministry from sun up to sun down. Whether it’s teaching leadership conferences, playing in soccer tournaments, or just spending time with the people of the community, they are working hard!
Yesterday Ken was able to meet with the elders of the village, including the Chieftain. After getting to know each other, God opened up the door for Ken to share the good news of Jesus. Several elders expressed an interest in wanting to know Christ as their personal Savior- Praise the Lord!! It was during this meeting that Ken also shared with the village leadership our plan to install a water filteration system in their village. Many were so shocked and excited they were crying. This is truely a gift from God, and will completely change the way of life for people in the community. What a tangible way to show that we care, that God cares, and that they are not forgotten!
THANK YOU for your part in this blessing!! And thanks for your continued prayer. More to come soon!

After a rough start in D.C. (Whitney Hill, CTA’s Field Administrator was not allowed to board the flight to Johannesburg, South Africa due to issues with her visa), the team pressed forward and made it to Botswana! They spent the first night with dear friends, Pastor Norman and Gabi Schafer of Open Baptist Church in Gaborone, and then headed off to Masonjone the next day. Please be praying for God’s protection and guidance as they help our partners with a church plant in one of the most oppressed cities in the country.
Many may not know, but Botswana is the second most HIV/ AIDS infected country in the world. The city of Masonjone has the highest AIDS prevalence in the country! On top of that, Masonjone borders Zimbabwae, a country that is in political turmoil. Many refugees have fled to Masonjone, after having been victims to horrible atrocities at the hands of their government. They are poor, and desperate for survival. Woman are selling themselves simply for a plate of food. In a place where hope is hard to find, God has opened wide the doors for us to advance His Kingdom. Please, continue to pray for the team as they share the Good News of Christ this week! Already they have been able to speak in front of 1,200 youth. Several rallies have already taken place, and leadership training conferences will begin soon.
We will update you as we hear more about how God is moving in Masonjone, Botswana!
